Ceaseless Passion

Violent thundering storms cut through my soul
Carving into the bone of reason, setting it free
Shattering illusions of darkness, casting light inside light
Felt with vibrating collisions of warmth and chill in all senses

My heart joins you
Like rivers join ocean waves
Like clouds of salt thrown wild in the heat of summer
Like motes of love hitting my face in the breeze of autumn.
There is a growing liberty within my series of inner struggles

I walk alone on streets in the night
Hearing the sounds of my own steps or the pulsing of my heart
as if someone is expecting me at the end of the street.
There is none but you, and I
Don’t want to live in the daylight
Give me the nights and I will leave you the days

O Beloved
I am wrapped in your hands And have become the dancing in your heart
In your arms I am flown  into the cosmos in pure joy and relief
With you, I am intoxicated with pure bliss, and lightness of breath
Elevated high above the cares of the trivial world
Passionately I have longed for some wild darling companion
With ardent desire I have kissed your moon face pressed against mine
Come, sit with me in peace in the thunderstorm

You reach the sort of passionate intensity that Walt Whitman is known for. I look forward to your next poem.

A poem of conviction, and undying love, powerful and passionate; a love for the mortal and the divine, as if they were one.

Thank you Ken. I appreciate your comments. When we have an energetic connection through sincere communication then a part of us is with the other, due to that energetic connection.

I think you are right, Yilmaz. Although we have different convictions, there’s an almost unaccountable unity between us, which is a wonderful thing. I tended to feel I was on one side and the enemy (those with different views) were on the other. I used the past tense, because I hope I am more tolerant now.

You know ,I really expected you to trash my earlier comments. You didn’t. I sincerly admire you for that.

Your poem touches the heart like a spear without drawing any blood or causing any pain. Rather takes the person in a journey of endless enlightenment.

Keep up with your good work.

Thank you Ken. Sometimes we need a kick in the butt to come out of our somewhat complacent stupor. You are admirable when you have no fear.
Nietzsche said: “We interpret ourselves as a unity in a world of images, which we created”.

Thank you Gary. “Giving is receiving” is a truth the totality of which can be available to all. It is a beauty to be able to contribute somehow to that manifestation of spirit. All flow of current is blocked when shackled by the ferocity of animals within.
